Brandy draws on upwards of seven years of experience working in natural history research collections (herbaria and libraries) and comes to BRIT from the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden Herbarium (RSA) where she managed a Collections in Support of Biological Research Project, a National Science Foundation funded project. Concurrent to her work at RSA, Brandy was also a Librarian at the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden Library, served as curatorial consultant to the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden Library, and was a database manager for the Claremont Museum of Art.

 

Brandy recently published The Field Photographs of Alain H. Liogier; Plants of Hispaniola, Dominican Republic, 1968-1969 through New York Botanical Garden Press. This book presents a curated collection of the Kodachrome field photographs that botanist Alain H. Liogier took while collecting plants in the Caribbean region. Liogier was a research associate of BRIT for a number of years.
