A goal has been set for the prestigious Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. BRIT is seeking support for a national and regional model of a sustainable research and education facility that “teaches” environmental responsibility.
The board of trustees and staff of BRIT have a responsibility to practice environmental stewardship in the design, construction and operation of its new home in the highly visible Cultural District of Fort Worth, Texas.
By demonstrating the relevance of everyday actions to global issues, BRIT can inspire its visitors to make small changes in their lives that collectively make a big difference.
BRIT has an impact beyond the limits of its site, by encouraging growth and development of a community dedicated to stewardship of finite resources.
