Partners in Pollination Exhibit Preview for BRIT Members on
Friday, February 24 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Partners in Pollination is an interactive exhibit that will explain the fascinating relationship between native plants and pollinators, the importance of this relationship in the balance of nature, and the ecological services pollinators provide in our daily lives. Exhibit runs February 25-April 4. Mark your calendars for Friday, February 24 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. members will get the first peek at this exhibit. Refreshments will be served.

Members of the Director’s Circle and Sustainer level were invited to be a Researcher for the day! This group evaluated more than 36 international ciders in conjunction with our research project. See photos of this event.

Prairie Day Saturday, May 19, 2012

Get dirty for a good cause when you make seed balls for the Wildflower Meadow! We'll follow the historical markers to find the Texas Invasives station, become more informed on native plants, and enjoy fun hands-on activities. Experts in period costumes will be on hand from the Log Cabin Village making paper flowers, spinning demonstration, toys, and games.

Entertainment will be provided by the Katie Keenie Band, a country-western band, from noon to 2 p.m. Lone Star Bar-B-Que will serve lunch for $5, which includes sandwich, chips, and a drink.

• An authentic chuck wagon exhibit
• Binocular station to get a close-up look at plants on living roof
