LEEDing the Way Field Study Trip

6th - 12th Grade

6th - 12th grade students

 

 

    Time: 9:30 a.m.—12:30 p.m.

    Cost: $350.00 for 50 or fewer students. Groups larger than 50 students will be charged $7.00 per additional student. Maximum 90 students. 1 teacher/ adult chaperone per 15 students is free. Additional teachers/ adult chaperones will be $7 each.

    Registration: Contact Kimberly at least two weeks prior to your trip at kwhitlock@brit.org.

    Payment: Payment is due two weeks prior to your trip. You can pay by credit card, check or purchase order.

    Cancellation Policy: Up to 14 days prior to the field study trip, a full refund is offered. No refund is offered less than 14 days prior to the field study trip if you must cancel your trip. In extreme weather situations a rescheduling option may be available.

     

      

        Program Information

        Middle School and High School students will have the opportunity to make connections between the impact of a LEED Platinum building and the environment. 

        Students will explore:

        • The role cultural, social, and economic factors play in the development of environmental solutions
        • Human impact on the environment
        • Ecosystem biodiversity

        As the BRIT SEED School and the Fort Worth Botanic Garden grow together, we encourage classes to take self-guided explorations before and after your scheduled field study trip.
