BRIT Education

Welcome Teachers!

BRIT invites you to get up close and personal with the natural world in our student programs* and professional development offerings for teachers.  Whether exploring Quigley's castle for plants we use or getting "pressed" with Bella, students can enjoy rich, interactive learning in our Distance Learning programs.  Teachers can join a community of learners working to engage their students in outdoor learning during conferences BRIT organizes with REAL School Gardens.  And teachers can further their learning about the nature of our place and practice doing science in BRIT's professional development workshops.  Teachers who attend BRIT workshops and use the ideas or curriculum in their classroom are invited to share their experiences with us through the Science Teacher Award.
Whatever program you choose, prepare to get inspired by nature and become excited to share it with others.

All of BRIT's programs are aligned with state and national science standards.  BRIT is a registered professional development provider for the State Board of Educator Certification, and teachers participating in our programs receive continuing education credit for the state of Texas.

*BRIT's field trips for students have been temporarily discontinued.  In the mean time, we invite you and your students to explore the world of Distance Learning with us!
