Preschool Educator Workshop Participants

Thank you for joining us to welcome spring and take part in Beeology’ and Botany. In this “busy as a bee” workshop you learned that the outdoor classroom is a marvelous vehicle for discovery and offers opportunities to nurture important developmental skills of your young scientists.  You now know how science content can become a “perfect partner” with literacy and math. Most importantly, you learned effective ways to bridge outdoor exploration and discovery with your indoor learning centers so that the walls between your inside and outside classrooms disappear, creating an even more dynamic learning community.

Preschool Educator Materials

To help you keep up the energy, here are a few materials to continue your explorations, discoveries, and sharing with your busy bees (check back to find new materials added to the list).

This open ended investigation introduces your students to the concept of flower pollination while engaging higher order thinking skills

This one act play will reinforce the concept of plant and animal communications and interdependence
