This tree that I will be writing about has very important value to our family. According to my dad it all happened seven years ago. My family and I were at the Home Depot store buying garden supplies. My grandpa Juan who was with us was looking at trees while we were looking for the stuff we needed. We met my grandpa at the plants outside the store and he told my dad that he should buy one of those pine trees, he was looking at.
My dad says that as soon as we returned home, my grandpa went to the storeroom and pulled out a shovel and a pick,to start planting the pine tree. Between grandpa and my brothers Ivan and Mikey decided where would be the best place to plant it.
After all three of them agreed where to plant it, they started digging a hole on the ground. The tree was only two feet tall at that time.
During the summer my parents always make-sure that it has enough water. The big reason why we don't want to let it die is because my grandpa is no longer with us.
Now the tree is about twelve feet tall and every time we look at it or get close to it reminds us our grandpa. Now that I am nine years old I think that my grandpa was right about choosing this type of tree it is always green and also because this way we will have this as another way to remember him.
