Thank you for joining us!

This year’s "Butterflies in the Garden" event has come to an end with over 41,000 visitors enjoying exotic butterflies in Texas. Thank you to everyone who attended or volunteered for this wonderful event.

We are especially grateful to those who served as docents for school groups, sharing their knowledge of these amazing creatures with over 3,500 children, parents and teachers throughout the event.

Approximately 12,000 beautiful, live butterflies of every hue and size filled the conservatory with shimmering color during the month-long exhibit, including butterflies from Southeast Asia, North, Central and South America, and Africa.  Among the more popular included the iridescent Blue Morpho, the graceful longwings from Central and South America, the Great Mormon, and the Indian Leafwing from Malaysia.

Please also remember to thank our generous sponsors.

Watch for exotic butterflies to arrive in Texas again in March 2012!
