The book covers 200 plants, each of which has two or three photographs and a short description in both English and Spanish giving common name(s); a short description of the plant; height; flowering period; habitat and any known use of the plant. The vast majority of plants are likely to be found in similar habitats throughout tropical America and nearly one third are pan tropical, making this book of interest to a interest to a wide audience throughout the tropics.
