    The Journal of the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (JBRIT) broadens access of content.—JBRIT is widely distributed in hard copy to subscribers around the world. BRIT’s scholarly exchange of JBRIT effectively distributes the content to institutions in developing countries. Current issue content of JBRIT is also globally accessible via the internet from BRIT’s website (http://www.brit.org/brit-press/jbrit/current). Earlier content of JBRIT (formerly Sida, Contributions to Botany) from 1962–2008) is also available in libraries in hard copy but is also available electronically via the Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL). Now BRIT and EBSCO Publishing have signed an agreement to distribute future JBRIT content through the online subscription database, EBSCO Discovery Service (http://www.ebscohost.com/discovery/eds-about). Current JBRIT content will continue to be made available and distributed in hard copy and on the BRIT website. This agreement grants EBSCO Publishing the non-exclusive right and license to reproduce, distribute reproductions of, display, publicly perform, and Adapt the Content [JBRIT] for purposes of incorporating the Content into the Products, and allowing the reproduction, distribution of reproductions of, the display of, public performance of, and adaptation of the Content as used in the Products.

    The Council on Botanical and Horticultural Libraries (CBHL) is very pleased to inform you that A Systematic Vademecum to the Vascular Plants of Puerto Rico by Franklin S. Axelrod has been nominated by our international membership for its outstanding contribution to the literature of horticulture or botany.
