Waleska Velez

    Green Revolution Coordinator

Waleska “Wally” Velez is now applying her many talents to BRIT’s education team as the new Green Revolution Operations Coordinator and is working with schools and families of the students involved in this environmental leadership program. As a native Puerto Rican and mother, her Spanish language skills and parenting experience make her ideally suited for the challenges of her new position. Her wonderful organizational and administrative skills are making life a lot easier for the Green Revolution program director, too! Wally has always wanted to work with more of our education programs, and her new role will make the most of her love of children and passion for great learning experiences.

Waleska received her college education at the University of Puerto Rico. Her interest in plants comes from generations of usage of medicinal plants by her family and culture. She is an avid reader, and her quest for learning about alternative forms of healing has taken her to Teotihuacan, Mexico, Machu Picchu, Canada, Arizona, and Washington State.
