Robert came to BRIT in 1999 to work in the Research Department with the authors of the Illustrated Flora of East Texas (IFET) as the project coordinator. His main activities involved searching for botanical illustrations for the IFET in BRIT’s library, scanning the illustrations and editing and producing the illustrative plates, and researching and acquiring rights to use the illustrations. Later, he also assisted in herbarium research and editing of the manuscript. In 2011, he joined the Development Department as a communications specialist. He is the editor of Iridos, BRIT’s magazine, and the annual report. He also helps coordinate BRIT’s website and other institutional communications.
