Darrell W. Brandon
BRIT Research Associate
B.S. in Plant Biology, University of California, Davis
Darrell spent 20 years in northern California, where he honed a lifelong love of plants. Working as a horticulturist, his interest in native plants and conservation led him to grow plants for revegetation projects using site-specific ecotypes. At the University of California, Davis Botanical Conservatory, he developed educational materials for classroom use as well as public interpretive displays for the Conservatory’s vast collection planted on campus. Here at BRIT, he is currently focusing on the importance of native plant conservation, and is doing extensive fieldwork to provide a more complete knowledge of plant species distributions in West Tennessee.
