Cleve Lancaster
V.P. and Director of Development
Cleve Lancaster has 25 years of non-profit management experience and provides unique perspective having worked both sides of the non-profit table from board leadership to staff positions. Mr. Lancaster is highly skilled in non-profit development strategies and programs and specializes in structuring and implementing capital campaigns. To date, he has raised over $50 million in four capital campaign programs for non-profits with less than $5 million in annual budget.
Prior to joining BRIT, he served as director of development for the Fort Worth Academy. Before that, he owned and managed NatureWorks, a retail store specializing in natural history products and books. Earlier he was director of marketing and public relations for the Fort Worth Zoological Association and supervisor of education for the Fort Worth Zoo. While at the zoo, Cleve discovered his passion for connecting people to organizations with important missions.
Throughout Mr. Lancaster’s career, he has concentrated on organizations that have a conservation or education mission.
Active in community organizations, he served two terms as chair of the board of Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County and chaired its endowment board for two terms. He is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and the Rotary Club of Fort Worth..
A native of Fort Worth, Mr. Lancaster graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1972 with a bachelor of science degree in ecology and natural history.
